Wow. What can I say, other than TY! My new video for Anything Like Me has had +5K views during it's first week on YouTube. What a great way to start the new year. Here's wishing you, too, all the best!

Been busy the past few weeks, wrapping up some recording projects and recuperating from a very hectic August. Latest stuff: Freddy Stratton in the UK has accepted a few tracks of mine to help raise funds for the charity Children With Cancer. No need to explain it's importance - please support it if you can!
That's it for now, so until there's more to confirm... take care!

Saturday March 26th this year - mark it down. The recording of my first live album ("Taller in Real Life") is happening in Westport, ONT, at The Cove Country Inn. Two long-time cohorts will be helping me out: Jeff Callery and Shawn McCullough, both great singers and songmasters in their own right... or write, should I say. This will be a highlight for me, to be certain.

It's been a great 2015. I'm a very fortunate man, all things considered. What with all the new writing, recording, performing and continued fun with my CJAI-FM show, the word 'rejuvenated' comes to mind, but feels a little shy of the mark. It's more like... a whole new start. Yep. that's what it is.
2016, too, is shaping up very nicely: many new gigs and studio work are lined up, including a new album for myself. Just ITCHING to specify more about that... but we must wait. Suffice it to say, new tunes (co-written with talented friends and acquaintances) during a special performance. 'Nuff about that for the time being.
My label, Chancellor Music, celebrates it's 25th anniversary in 2016, too. We're in discussions now with artists about re-issuing many of those releases online for the first time. I've always been a big fan of regional, original talent, and it would be wonderful to see their works available in perpetuity.
May I take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE for their support over the last few years, both personally and professionally. Here's wishing you all in return a very safe, happy and loving 2016.

Happy to announce the release of my EP '10 x 10 Suite Vol. 1'. Ten x 10 second comedic microsongs for the musically ADD fans in all of us. Not to be taken seriously
. Consider them my solution to the world's demand for free music. A special 11th track is included, which was a preview of the EP on CJAI-FM last Friday night. What happened during it almost brought me to laff-tears! Listen or download them au gratis from any of these sites: Reverbnation, Soundcloud & Bandcamp.

Studio should be receiving it's new recording CPU soon - quite excited. Have to make sure renos are done! Some cool gigging been coming my way: a trio thingy, The Pub Krawlers with Brad Baldwin and Colin Amey, has been shaping up nicely, plus my wonderful other half and I will be performing on this years Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame induction show at Ottawa's Centrepointe Theatre. Very flattered to be included there. And the new tunes keep on a'comin. Once that tap is open...

Been so long since I made a radio appearance, but Eric Tremblay on CJAI-FM made me feel more than at-home. His Friday Night Show this weekend was a blast to guest on, regardless of my rusty vocals and a very windy ferry ride. Played a new tune, too, which is always a blast - 'One In Every Crowd', a co-write with Brad Baldwin and Colin Amey. Add that to filling out the 3 hour show with Eric's great recorded selections, 5 visitors to the station, and a great lemon/cinnamon bun from Chit Chat Cafe & Corner Market in Napanee during the drive home... a fun filled, successful evening.

Studio and house renos have been resulting in fewer blisters and smack marks than expected. Maybe my Grandfather was correct - I should have picked up real tools a whole lot more. Well... maybe more often. Still impatient about getting back to studio creativity. But hey, only two hands.
How many surprises in this place are lying in these walls??? Did ANYBODY know what the word 'code' means? Sheeeeesh!

Time for the continuation of much delayed studio improvements. Got down which end of the hammer to hold... now just have to figure out where to put all these albums.
DEC 4th, 2014
Writing and demoing a lot again. Feel extremely lucky to still have the drive and enjoy the whole process more than ever before. Looking forward to 2 additional music-related events in the near future: sharing a special Xmas gift, plus an altogether and new longer term... 'project'. Either way, the end of 2014 is looking very positive.
OCT 21st - 25th, 2014
Played Oshawa's The Corral for the first time since June 2008. Subbed in on bass duties with Paul Nathan. Paul, Dan Corak and Jeff Greig were very gracious and patient with me, as usual. Not to forget management and staff of The Corral. Felt all th'love.

Little sad... finished editing the final episode of EOP, final for this first series, that is. It'll play next Monday night at 7 PM. A fun show to do. And a funner final one because of our special guest, my not-so-little-girl, Bri.
Added the Eastern Ontario Playlist blog to this site today. Looking forward to sharing more 'o what I found on all acts that were played on our show.

Had the Havelock/Port Hope band Train Wreck in today to record some tunes for the 21st episode of EOP, which will air next Monday night. Tracked 3 songs live off-the-floor - playing 1 on the show. Wonder what will happen with those other 2? ;)
